Batch conversion tools
The batch conversion tool allows you to easily modify and convert large groups of audio files for use on an Intervoice system. The batch conversion tool converts master .wav format files to the proper format:
- Compressed .ivc files (ADPCM format) (for use with InterSoft IQTalk systems)
- Compressed µ-law or A-law .wav files (for use with VoiceXML systems)
Using a batch conversion tool to convert audio files is an important step to achieve the highest quality audio recordings. During the conversion process, the batch converter performs these processes on the audio files:
- DC offset removal
- Silence trimming
- Normalization
- Equalization
- Resampling
- Format conversion
To get the batch conversion tool:
- For Sound Forge 6 through 8, you must install Batch Converter 5.0. Download Now!
Note For Sound Forge 7 users, if your serial number fails to enable the Batch Converter, contact Intervoice Customer Support. - For Sound Forge 5.0c and earlier, you must install Batch Converter 5.0. Download Now! For Sound Forge 5.0d and later, Batch Converter 5.0 is automatically installed with the Sound Forge software.
- For Vox Studio 3, the batch conversion tool is part of the Vox Studio software.
